About Sustainable Hadstock

Think globally, act locally.

A Global Issue . But what can we do locally?

The Sustainable Hadstock initiative has launched. We need your input to make it fly.

Our aim is to make this sociable, educational and fun whilst helping us all to create a more sustainable future for ourselves and future generations.

Sustainable Hadstock is a residents’ initiative to help us all understand what we can do as individuals and as a village to create a more sustainable, low carbon future.

It is focused on practical actions we can take – in our homes, how we live and for our natural environment.

If working apart, we are a  force powerful enough to  de-stabilise our planet,  surely working together,  we are powerful enough to save it

David Attenborough

Climate change is one of  the greatest threats  facing society, we all have  a role to play in addressing  the problem

Uttlesford Climate Crisis Strategy

We have active support from across the Village – from our Parish Council, Village Hall, Parochial Church Council, Hadstock Society.

We are delighted that the UDC Climate Group is actively supporting Hadstock with a grant award – this gives us access to specialist expertise and experience from a range of partners.

We consider all the areas of Sustainability important – Energy and the carbon footprint of our homes, Biodiversity across our environment, Recycling & Waste and much more.
