Hadstock Society

About

The Hadstock Society aims to stimulate public interest in the natural and built heritage of the Parish of Hadstock, and to preserve, develop and improve historic and other features in the ‘area of benefit’.

The Hadstock Society Committee meets several times a year to review progress on existing projects, to consider new projects, and to provide comments on planning applications to the Uttlesford District Council Planning Department.  An AGM is held every November.

The Society is responsible for managing the content of the Community Archive website. The Archive can be reached from the Quick Link on this page and contains over 200 posts. The posts include historic and contemporary articles, photographs, and other media files about the parish and its residents. Readers are encouraged to submit comments or new posts for inclusion in the archive.

The Society held its 50th AGM in December 2022. Minutes of the first meeting in 1972 can be read by by clicking on this link: 1972 Inaugural Minutes
