This post is a gallery of photographs showing members of the Barker family. The earliest images date to before 1900. The collection was given to the archive by Diane Butler (née Barker). Diane has traced her Hadstock and Ashdon ancestors back from her grandfather Marcus James Barker (1867-1944), also known as ‘Shepherd Barker, to John Barker who was born in the 1700s. Other familiar Hadstock names such as Pearson, Free. Cutter, and Swan feature in her ancestry.
