Reg Wood was my Grandfather! Imagine my surprise when I found this photo of him on your site. My sister and I spent many a summer in Hadstock with Granny and Grandad Wood and that included time in the shop, helping Grandad (maybe hindering?!)
I have the fondest memories of the village. For a few years both sets of our grandparents lived in Hadstock. My maternal grandparents rented the cottage at the foot of the lane to the church, opposite the green. My Grandad Jaggard featured in a magazine, on the front cover, following a photo taken of him standing in his front garden surrounded by beautiful flowers.
Hadstock will always mean so much to me and my sister. It feels like we virtually grew up there.
