One of the aims of the Sustainable Hadstock Project is to establish a baseline measure of home energy efficiency within the village. Whilst some data is available through public data sources it is not complete and may not represent the current situation as properties are upgraded. The primary measures that the project will use is the nationally recocognized Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) supplemented by actual energy consumption data.
The Sustainable Hadstock project has established processes to undertake detailed Energy Surveys and or EPC assessments for properties within Hadstock. Surveys are undertaken by a government approved assessor and should the home owner wish can result in an EPC assessment being uploaded to the national database.
To add value to these surveys the project team is asking those using this service to provide details of their actual energy consumption to allow comparisons to the EPC to be made and assessed. These data will only be used anonymously.
It is hoped that this information will allow householders to target upgrades to their property which will have a cost effective impact on their energy usage and associated costs. It will also provide data to reflect individual Carbon footprints from houshold energy consumption.
This represents data that the Government does not possess and has the potential to support future energy saving measures going forward.
If you would like an energy survey please use the contact details at the top of this page. There are funds to support this activity and surveys are available at significantly discounted rates. The outputs are much more detailed than is available from commercial providers and are supported by a detailed debrief session with the householder to provide advice on ‘next steps’.
In addition to the Energy Surveys the project can assist homeowners to gain access to a ‘Retrofit Energy Survey’. This provides a more detailed, costed and benefit analysed survey of a property to reduce its energy consumption and adopt modern carbon reduction technologies. These are no obligation surveys from trusted commercial partners. Again, please use the contact details at the top of the page should you wish to participate.
These opportunities will exist for a limited time period only so please do not delay in contacting us.
