The Friends of St Botolph’s
The Friends of St Botolph’s is a Registered Charity (Charity number 1096540) dedicated to raising funds for the upkeep of our Grade 1 listed Church and the churchyard. Over the last 5 years the Friends has been pleased to support the extensive building programme, including replacing the nave ceiling, with £ 50,000, allowing St Botolph’s Church to go into its second Millennium in a good condition. Over the years The Friends have funded the rebuilding of the Flint Wall around the churchyard and most recently have helped towards a new bell rope for the Bell Tower.
The Friends is run by a small committee of villagers, independent of the PCC.
The Friends raise money from events throughout the year and from donations. Events range from concerts and talks in the church to Christmas Bazaars.
Please contact Lou Symes-Thompson (louisa@camprop.co.uk) if you would like any more information about the Friends, or if you would like to make a donation to help the Friends support the ongoing Church Building and Repair programme.
